Install and open Mio

The current Mio build has an Apple Development signature but is not notarized. Gatekeeper therefore blocks the first launch. This is the expected install flow and does not require Terminal.

1. Open the DMG and drag Mio into Applications.
2. Double-click Mio in Applications. macOS warns that it cannot verify the developer; dismiss the warning.
3. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, find the blocked Mio message, then click Open Anyway.
4. Confirm Open, then grant Screen & System Audio Recording access when Mio asks.
5. If you changed the permission, quit and reopen Mio before using its menu bar icon or shortcuts.

Requirements

macOS 26 or later on an Apple silicon Mac. The current DMG contains arm64 only.
